Surface Preparation:
Roof surface treated with Chlorine (2-3%) to kill mold, mildew, fungus and rinsed with clean water from a garden hose. Note: pressure cleaning not recommended on asphalt shingles.
Prime Coat:
SOMAY Product No. 777, "PST" ("Primer, Sealer, Topcoat"), 100% poly-acrylic resin, waterborne primer, sealer. Applied at a max. spreading rate of 200 sq.ft./gal. = practical spreading rate
of 150 sq.ft./gal., depending on the smoothness and porosity of the roof surface. Dries Clear.
Intermediate Coat:
SOMAY Product No. 842-00, SOMAY "ROOF MASTIC", Sealer & Protector – "Crystal Clear", applied at a max. spreading rate of 50 sq.ft./gal. = practical spreading rate of 35
sq.ft./gal. to develop a 20 mil dry film thickness. Allowed to dry "Clear" before application of next coat.
Finish Coat:
SOMAY Product No. 842-00, SOMAY "ROOF MASTIC", Sealer & Protector – "Crystal Clear", applied at a max. spreading rate of 50 sq.ft./gal. = practical spreading rate of 35
sq.ft./gal. to develop a 20 mil dry film thickness.
Color:
"Crystal Clear". Note: Product No. 842-00 has the consistency of and looks like white paste in the can, but dries "Crystal Clear". It must NOT be thinned or adulterated
with anything.
