Polibrid Coatings are distributed by Carboline Company, a unit of RPM, which is pre-eminent in our industry, manufacturing and selling throughout the world a wide range of products designed to provide solutions to various coating problems. These coatings are so unique that they may be applied only by contractors who have been factory trained by the manufacturer as authorized Polibrid applicators.

"Polibrid 705" is a solventless 100% solids, thermosetting, flexible, elastomeric polyurethane which provides the ultimate in corrosion protection for concrete and/or steel surfaces subjected to unusually severe service conditions in a wide range of industrial and utility applications. It is applied by specially designed, plural-component, high-pressure airless spray equipment at ambient temperatures at virtually any film thickness in one application, even on vertical or inverted surfaces. "Polibrid 705" has unlimited-build capabilities, which allow the engineer to specify different film thicknesses within the same application, from 20 mils to 250 mils or higher, as actually required by particular service demands or differing surface conditions. The degree of protection is no longer limited to the maximum film-build of multiple coats of conventional, solvent-based coating products. It can fully encapsulate rivets, bolts, edges and rough welds in just one coat, and easily produces the high film thicknesses needed to provide monolithic protection over naturally rough concrete surfaces, providing exceptional long term surface protection due to its superior resistance to a wide variety of chemical solutions. 

"Polibrid 705", since it is solventless, has zero VOCs, so it meets all VOC regulations and is virtually odorless during and after application. It eliminates creation of pinholes due to solvent evaporation, producing a dense monolithic membrane. "Polibrid 705" is sufficiently elastic to survive normal shrinkage cracks in concrete without breaking. It is an ideal immersion lining, is abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and highly impermeable. It can withstand foot traffic within minutes of application and can be placed in service within two hours of application at 72° F. (22° C.).

"Polibrid 705" is particularly effective for protection against microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC) in domestic or industrial wastewater collection, pumping and treatment systems, and as a UV resistant, flexible membrane liner for primary or secondary containment of many toxic or hazardous liquids. "Polibrid 705" is also excellent as an internal lining for hydroelectric penstocks, wastewater mains and outfalls, and as an external coating for the rehabilitation of gas or oil pipelines.
