Surface Preparation:

    SOMAY "HYCOTE" 151 is the ONLY NAVSEA APPROVED Product for Underwater
    Paint Application to U.S. NAVY Vessels, per the U.S. Navy Office of the Director of
    Ocean Engineering

 Total:   18 mils (450 microns or micrometers) dry film thickness

Project:  Texaco, Inc., Off-Shore Oil Rig Platform, Gulf of Mexico

    Application of SOMAY "HYCOTE" 151 to Sea Legs of Off-Shore Oil Rig Platform
    Underwater, Through the Splash Zone, and Above the Waterline in One Application

Surface Preparation: 

    Near White Metal Blast, per SSPC-SP-10, NACE 2

Coating:  

    SOMAY "HYCOTE" 151 – 100% Solids, Polyamine Epoxy Coating
    Color:  Black

Total:  18 mils (450 microns or micrometers) dry film thickness for 1 coat

Project:   Sattler Pier Piles, Subic Bay, The Philippines

    Paint to Protect Pilings Below the Waterline, through the Splash Zone and Above
    the Waterline

NOTE:  These pictures show pilings in the warm saltwater of the Philippines, still being
protected by "HYCOTE" after 15 years of immersion.

Surface Preparation:  Sandblast to 3 Mil minimum profile.

Prime Coat:  "HYCOTE" 151 Polyamine Epoxy Coating

     Color:  Red

Finish Coat:  "HYCOTE" 151 Polyamine Epoxy Coating

     Color:  Black

Total:    20 mils dry film thickness for 2 coats

Project: 

    United States Coast Guard Base, Integrated Support Command (ISC), Portsmouth, Virginia USA

    Prepare steel surface and apply coating of SOMAY/UNDERWATER TECHNOLOGIES® "HYCOTE" 151 Polyamine Epoxy Coating to seawall steel sheet bulkhead pilings at U S Coast Guard Base; Coat  from under wooden fender on top edge of docks to underwater base of bulkhead at bottom of ship dock.

Surface Preparation:

    Sandblast above the waterline, through the splash zone and below the waterline to SSPC-SP-10; NACE 2, Near White Metal Blast to a 3 mil profile on the steel surface

One Coat:

    SOMAY/UNDERWATER TECHNOLOGIES® "HYCOTE" 151 Polyamine Epoxy Coating.  Apply within 30 minutes of sandblasting. Application by hand below the waterline; application by spray above the waterline.  Total:  20 mils film thickness applied at spreading rate of approx. 60 sq.ft./gal. (= 1.51 sq.m./L)
