842 – SOMAY "ROOF MASTIC"®, Sealer & Protector – "Hurricane Proof Your Roof" – "The New Roof in a Can" – "Sheds Water Like a Duck's Back®" – A premium quality 100% acrylic latex roof waterproofing coating system, which creates a flexible, breathing membrane that seals small holes and cracks to stop leaks on well drained roof surfaces such as flat tile, barrel tile, slate, roll roofing, tar paper, asphalt shingles, urethane foam and metal roofs; provides long-term protection from severe tropical climates, including ultraviolet rays from the sun, wind, rain, etc.  Introduced by SOMAY more than three decades ago, hundreds of thousands of gallons have been used.  In 1974 was granted South Florida Building Code Product Approval.  Has performed with complete satisfaction for over 30 years when two (2) coats are applied at the recommended total of 40 mils dry film thickness.  Easy to apply by the "Do-It-Yourself" handyman, or by professional applicators.  Available in "White", which reflects 83% of the heat from the sun to help keep buildings much cooler and has ENERGY STAR ^® certification, as well as in several popular roof colors including Terracotta, Spanish Tile (Red), Sun Beige (Tan) Modern Ivory, and Machinery Gray.  If one desires, "ROOF MASTIC" can be top-coated with any Custom Color SOMAY 100% acrylic latex roof paint, so you can change the color of your roof. 777 – SOMAY "PREMIUM" "PST" – PRIMER/SEALER/TOPCOAT – A Premium Quality, 100% poly-acrylic, waterborne, universal, all-purpose, exterior and interior, clear, non-yellowing coating that can be used as a Primer, a Sealer, a Waterproofing Coating and a Topcoat or Finish Coating.  It has excellent resistance to ultraviolet (sun) light degradation, excellent adhesion to practically every properly cleaned and prepared surface, and dries to a hard finish that has excellent resistance to wear due to normal pedestrian traffic.  No solvents, no fumes … exceptionally user and environmentally friendly.  "PST" will NOT "blush" or turn "white" if moisture develops under the coating, but will remain clear.  Because SOMAY "PST" will always "breathe", it allows moisture vapor to escape through the cured coating film. "PST" can be applied to concrete, stucco, masonry, non-glazed porous brick, stone, concrete blocks, coral rocks and other porous decorative façade materials, wood shingles, wood siding, wood decks, docks or porch floor surfaces, wood paneling (interior and exterior), metal including aluminum, copper, brass, zinc, galvanized steel or primed tin or ferrous metal.  "PST" can be used on practically any well-drained roof surface, including wood shingles, split cedar shakes, asphalt shingles, fiberglass shingles, concrete tiles, clay tiles, barrel tiles, 90-lb. slate, roll roofing, etc. Over 20% Vol. Solids = 200 sq.ft./gal./mil DFT = only 7¢/sq.ft/mil DFT.

7751 - SOMAY "PRIME & SEAL"- Primer-Sealer.  A modified acrylic, solvent-thinned, heavy-duty, industrial strength, all purpose, clear sealer for interior and exterior use as a first coat, primer, undercoater or surface conditioner.  This primer enhances the waterproofing properties of elastomeric top coatings, and is recommended as the primer for SOMAY's "ROOF MASTIC" waterproofing coating system on asphalt based roof surfaces such as asphalt shingles, roll roofing, tar paper, etc. Also especially useful on buildings in the Caribbean, where masonry surfaces are frequently contaminated with salts, since SOMAY Product No. 7751 acts as a chemical barrier to keep the salts from leaching out of the surface and attacking the surface coating.  Maximum spreading rate is 200 sq.ft./gal, but can be considerably lower (maybe only 100 sq.ft./gal.) on very porous surfaces.

992 – SOMAY Elastomeric "PATCH & SEAL" – A premium quality, White, 100% acrylic latex elastomeric caulking material formulated especially to patch, seal, caulk and waterproof leaks in roof and wall surfaces.   Its soft, buttery consistency enables quick filling of cracks (e.g. between tiles), seams, tears, splits and small holes.  Its viscosity can be modified by the addition of Product No. 842, "ROOF MASTIC", to create any consistency desired by the user.  Easily applied with a putty knife or brush.  Over 53% Vol. Solids = 854 sq.ft./gal./mil = $.02 per sq.ft./mil DFT.

814 – SOMAY Rubber Waterproofing Coating – This premium quality, single component, liquid rubber co-polymer resin based, solvent-borne (xylene) coating is used on flat areas of roofs from which water does NOT drain, but forms puddles on the roof after a rainstorm.  It will seal, waterproof and protect, any smooth, structurally sound roof surface including EPDM, APP, TPO, BUT, dried tar or asphalt, modified bitumen, tar paper, 90# slate, roll roofing, cap sheet, concrete, transite, polyurethane foam, wood, masonry, rubber, "Hypalon", and metal, including aluminum, copper, tin, steel, galvanized steel, zinc, etc.  Over 52% Vol. Solids = 834 sq.ft./gal./mil = 5¢/sq.ft./mil DFT. We recommend a total of 20 mils dry film thickness for waterproofing.
