Somay "Wall Mastic"
WALL WATERPROOFING COATING – SOMAY Product No. 890 – SOMAY Elastomeric "WALL MASTIC", Sealer & Protector is a premium quality, acrylic latex wall waterproofing coating system that will fill surface pores and bridge hairline cracks in exterior masonry walls. When a total of 10 mil dry film thickness is applied, this coating forms a membrane that can withstand severe weather conditions, such as hurricane force wind-driven rain up to 100 mph, resisting water penetration through the coating and the wall. Has an estimated exterior durability of 12 years or more. Made in "White" and in Custom Colors on a Special Order basis; or can be top-coated with a Custom Color SOMAY 100% Acrylic Latex Paint such as SOMAY Nos. 383, Eggshell Finish, 630, Semi-gloss Enamel, or 8630, "STERI-SHIELD". 48% Vol. Solids = 769 sq.ft./gal./mil DFT. Apply a total of 10 mils DFT for waterproofing. Use SOMAY Product No. 530, "SURFACE CONDITIONER", as the Prime Coat.

Recommended Primer
PRIMER FOR WALL SURFACES – SOMAY Product No. 530 – "PREMIUM" 100% ACRYLIC LATEX SURFACE CONDITIONER & PRIMER for POROUS SURFACES (White)– This is an excellent all-around premium grade primer for exterior and interior application to all porous surfaces, including concrete, stucco, plaster, wallboard, wood, etc. It is also recommended for use on previously painted exterior surfaces on which the paint has slightly deteriorated as evidenced by a light or moderate degree of powdering or chalking on the surface. Because of the unique oil emulsion in the formulation, Surface Conditioner & Primer will prime, seal, penetrate and help to bind light surface powder or chalk. This is NOT a substitute for proper surface preparation. Over 41% Vol. Solids = 663 sq.ft./gal./mil DFT.
