SOMAY has maintained for many years one of the finest paint manufacturing company Quality Control Laboratories in all of
southeast Florida. It is staffed with a graduate chemist and a paint formulator with more than 5 decades of experience in formulating and producing high quality paints and coatings especially made to withstand the
severest environmental conditions in the world. The Quality Control Laboratory checks all incoming raw materials and each and every batch of paint
produced prior to being filled in cans to be certain that every batch consistently meets all predetermined quality standards.Each can lid is stamped with code numbers that tell us the batch number of
the paint, the Product Code Number, the Color Code Number, and the date it was manufactured. Like every other major paint manufacturer, SOMAY keeps a "retain sample" of every batch of paint we
manufacture. Thus, in the unlikely event there should ever be a question about a product which we manufactured and sold, we can analyze the "retain sample" in the laboratory to be certain everything was made
exactly according to its specification when the paint was filled into the can. We keep these "retain samples" as a benchmark, because unfortunately some customers tend to blame the paint itself when a paint job
fails. Almost invariably, however, the reason any paint job proves unsatisfactory is because of either inadequate surface preparation procedures or unauthorized thinning of the paint. One should
bear in mind that SOMAY does not make paint one gallon at a time. Rather, we manufacture hundreds of gallons of each color of each product in large batches; for example, 125 gallons or 250 gallons or 500 gallons
or more. Therefore, it should be obvious that the few gallons purchased by one customer represent only a part of a much larger batch of paint manufactured by SOMAY. If there were something defective about
that batch of paint, then we should receive complaints from every customer who purchased paint from that batch, not from just one customer. In the unlikely event a paint does prove to be off-spec, we can
immediately notify each customer so that we can bring the paint back to the plant for proper disposition. Obviously the fact SOMAY has been in business for so many years, since 1926, and has been selling
the same customers, some for over 50 years, is proof that SOMAY's consistently superior quality is appreciated by SOMAY's customers. |
